In an attempt to keep our friends and family abreast of our family now located in Katy Texas address at 27502 Meeks Bay Court Katy Texas, I, Scott Shields, decided to blog some of our family moments. Katye my wife was nice enough to write this about our family now in Katy Texas, and no we did not move to Katy Texas to confuse those of you on how my wife spells her name-LOL.

2015 has been a busy year for us all. As most of you know, our kids play sports. This means that we as parents, Scott and Katye Shields, do not have a social life apart from the sports fields. LOL. Jon continues to play baseball and football, as well as adding basketball for this first time this winter. This year was Jon s last year to play for the Ducks football team since junior high football starts next year. An amazing group of boys and parents, combined with high energy coaches created an awesome chemistry on the team. The Ducks finished by winning the championship game! This fall, Jon joined a new baseball team, and we anxiously await our planned team trip to Cooperstown, NY over July 4th week next year. Jon (and Scott) continue to perfect Jon s 12-6 curveballs, and it's amazing to watch his ambidextrous pitching and switch-hitting in these games!
Scott Shields of Katy Texas said, "Our move back to Houston TX was bittersweet - Houston has always been good to us being that I have an energy background and the suburb of Katy Texas has great schools for my wife and her education experience."
Kristen played softball last spring for the Outlaws and her team won the pennant as well. She was asked to be on the All-Star team for the summer and was able to play some very good teams around the Houston area. While she enjoys softball, Kristen's true interest is in gymnastics. At her last meet, Kristen placed second on the Beam and 3rd place overall. We are so proud of her hard work and the time she devotes to practicing her skills.
Despite our kids' busy sports schedules this year, we were able to fly the plane over Spring Break to travel to The Atlantis in The Bahamas. To spice up the trip, we were able to fly around to different islands on day trips. We were finally able to swim with the dolphins, which was the highlight for us all. We also fed the sharks, snorkeled and enjoyed our family time on the beaches.
